Lloyd's List Global Award 2012

The material developed and published in Alert!, the International Maritime Human Element Bulletin, has become an important resource to the maritime industry.

There has been a continuous shift of public opinion to recognise the importance of identifying and applying Human Element issues and many in the industry now turn to the bulletins and this website for an authoritative source of knowledge.

Information developed through this project is now often quoted in the press, in publications, at the IMO, by national administrations, insurers, and shipping companies. The material is widely used by students around the world, and through all the maritime disciplines.

The quality of this information and its presentation is such that the project has won praise from many leading maritime professionals, has been often reproduced, and has won the prestigious Seatrade award in 2004, the RINA Ship Safety award for 2005 and most recently the 2012 Lloyd's List Global Award for Training.
